One of Europe’s leading marine electronic service and dealerships, Ships Electronic Services Ltd (SES), has announced the acquisition of the assets and goodwill of Humber Telecommunications Ltd (Humber Telecom), which will now continue trading as Ships Electronic Services – Humber.
SES provides a comprehensive service of supply, installation and service of many of the worlds leading brands in navigation, control and communication technology. Already with five offices around the UK coast from Aberdeen to Plymouth the company has set out to provide local support to the main shipping ports in the country. Managing Director, Stephen Roper, commented, “The Humberside region is an important centre for both commercial shipping and the fishing industry so we were delighted to have the opportunity to acquire the well established Humber Telecoms in Grimsby to provide our sixth sales office and service centre. Alan Somerscales, former owner of Humber Telecoms, will remain with us for another year to oversee a smooth transition for his existing customers and the integration of SES.“
The new office provides SES with the ability to extend its support to the shipping, fishing and luxury yacht building industries throughout the UK at short notice and with extensive professional experience gathered over its 35 years in the marine industry.
