Ships Electronic Services(SES) one of the UK’s leading marine electronics service and supply companies has been appointed UK product distributor and service centre for Praxis Automation and Technology. Based in the Netherlands, Praxis has been manufacturing navigation and automation electronics for the global shipping industry for over 45 years and shares SES’s dedication to customer service and quality, both companies working under ISO: 9001 certification.
Praxis has developed an enviable reputation for design and build of a wide range of reliable and innovative systems from alarm monitoring and dynamic positioning to control and integrated glass bridge systems. The company installs and maintains its products on vessels worldwide through its own facilities and selected service partners. SES will now offer the Praxis product range and provide full service facilities for the substantial UK market for Praxis systems.
SES director Colin Anderson commented, “We have been talking to Praxis for some time about the synergies between our companies and how we can offer the standards that Praxis customers are used to, so we are delighted to make this important announcement. We have been operating within the UK shipping industry for over 35 years ourselves and have eight services centres at strategic locations around the coast which enables us to provide fast response to vessel operators. Our engineering team will undergo detailed product training with Praxis which enables us to advise, install and maintain the range with immediate effect.”
SES is the service partner for many of the world’s leading manufacturers and works with shipping operators, ship builders , offshore oil & gas facilities and also in the leisure marine sector. The company will be present at the Seawork show in Southampton from June 25th.
